Smokey Starr

As a youth in Kingston Jamaica, I was drawn to music at an early age by groups like Curtis Mayfield and the Impessions. Memories of Sunday afternoons filled with the sounds of Sinatra, Como and the like are still with me.

I've had the privilege to work with and gain inspiration from a number of reggae greats, such as: Benji Myaz, Desi and the Roots, Mighty Sparrow, Lloyd Parks, Freddie MacGregor, Dennis Brown and my close personal friend, Jacob 'The Killer' Miller. I have performed throughout the caribbean islands, aboard a number of cruise ships and Europe.

Now settled in New Jersey, I am rockin the island vibes along the Jersey shore and tri-state area, with a unique blend of reggae, calypso, soca and then some!
